OUTBOUND · ABM · AI

Hey there,

Last week I gave an AI agent 45 minutes to build a full outbound campaign. Brief, list, copy and sequencer setup.

It finished with 14,560 leads ready to go. But the parts that made the campaign good still came from us.

Below: the free skill so you can run the same workflow, how it works step by step, how a consultancy got 56 interested leads in 7 weeks, and a new tool that gives contact data away for free.

YOUR FREE RESOURCE

Copy my AI outbound workflow

Grab the same skill I used in the video. You get a ZIP with the scripts, templates and instructions, plus a PDF guide for setup and your first run.

What it does:

  • Checks if each company fits your ICP

  • Picks the right contacts and verifies work emails

  • Removes duplicates and cleans up names

  • Builds a paused campaign draft, so nothing goes out before you review it

WORKFLOW

14,560 leads in 45 minutes with Grok Bot

Everyone says AI agents can run your outbound end to end. So I put one on a timer.

The setup is one "Chief of Staff" agent. I only talk to it. It hands the work to specialist agents for market sizing, list building, copy, inbox and deliverability.

Here's how the campaign came together:

  1. Build the brief. The agent asks onboarding questions until it knows the ICP and the offer.

  2. Go wide on industries. LinkedIn industries are self-reported. Anyone can pick any label. So we pulled every industry that could hold a B2B SaaS company instead of trusting one filter.

  3. Let AI judge the fit. TypeSafe's Jev model read each company's description or homepage and scored it. Out of 102,000 companies, 26,200 were a real fit.

  4. Add the campaign angle. We wanted companies that invest in organic growth. A Clay workflow checked Domain Rating in Ahrefs and kept companies at 30 or above.

  5. Write and test the copy. Max 4 people per company. Two versions: one with a personalized first line, one without. I checked previews for three leads before saying yes.

  6. Load the sequencer. The agent added spintax, set up the A/B test and schedule, and loaded the campaign with the senders in place.

Total time: under 45 minutes. Total leads: 14,560.

My take: AI is a great execution layer. It is not a great strategist. Going wide on industries, the DR 30 angle and the copy review were all human calls. That's still where campaigns win or lose.

FROM THE CAMPAIGN

56 interested leads in 7 weeks, without a pitch

A tech consultancy working in data, platforms and AI needed to reach senior leaders in financial services, insurance, public sector and not-for-profit. The target was 30 interested leads a month.

Cold pitches rarely work on these people. So we didn't lead with a pitch. We led with an invitation.

The approach on LinkedIn:

  • Split the audiences. Research and invites were shaped for each sector.

  • Give every message a purpose. Speak at an event, join a podcast, or contribute to a whitepaper or research.

  • Keep the context. Each reply was logged with its campaign, so the team knew the right next step.

Lead generation results

Results from 26 August to 15 October:

  • 56 interested leads in 7 live weeks, about 33 a month against a target of 30

  • 35 in September, the only full month

  • Speaker invites drove the most: 24 leads

  • Podcast invites: 7. Not-for-profit whitepaper: 7. Insurance: 5. Financial services whitepaper: 5. Other research and meetings: 8.

  • 17 people shared their direct email

To be clear, these are interested replies, not closed deals. But senior people say yes to being featured far more often than to being sold to.

Try this in your next campaign: ask what your buyer wants to be known for, then offer them a stage.

INDUSTRY WATCH

Loopster: contact data is going free

Our partners from HeyReach just launched Loopster, a GTM workspace in the same space as Clay. The big difference is how it handles data.

Most tools charge you for every email you find, usually in credits. Loopster flips that:

  • The data is free. Contacts, work emails, personal emails and phone numbers from its database of 750M+ contacts come with every plan.

  • Users build the pool. When someone pays a vendor for a contact Loopster doesn't have, the verified result joins a shared pool. Everyone after gets it for free. Your own lists stay private.

  • You pay for the platform. Plans start at $179 a month. Premium vendor lookups come out of a wallet in real dollars at vendor cost, or cost nothing with your own API keys.

I gave it a quick test: SaaS founders and CEOs at companies that raised $15M or more, one person per company. 6,749 people came back in seconds.

Loopster GTM

My take: this ties straight back to the video. When the list is close to free, the edge moves to what you do with it. The signal, the angle and the copy.

If you try the skill, hit reply and tell me how your first run went. I read every reply.
